Most job listings in this field look for a degree in something close to cybersecurity—such as computer science or engineering—“or equivalent job experience.” Many of the most talented and successful cyber professional don’t have fancy degrees. But having an undergraduate or graduate degree in cyber or an adjacent technical field apparently helps applicants in today’s market get beyond resume screeners.
