Tips when interviewing for security jobs:

Before the interview, re-read the sections about “minimum qualifications” and “preferred qualifications.”

Guess what kind of questions interviewers will ask about those qualifications, and think ahead about how you might answer.

Plenty of security roles involve interviews with people who are not asking technical questions.

Sometimes they’re a senior person on the team trying to get a read on you, or someone doing a “behavioral interview” to get a sense of your leadership skills.

For writing, use AI judiciously. If you rely too heavily on AI to write your cover letters or other material, you will sound like everyone else doing that.
